The Duke is very happy and grateful. He wants to thank them for both cleaning their windows well and for getting the burglar. He lets Giraffey, Pelly and Monkey live with him. To thank Billy, he grants his wish. Together, they open a sweet-shop where the Grubber used to be. A lot of amazing and creative sweets come from around the world- including Willy Wonka's Factory. They all become very happy and visit each other.
When they arrive, they greet him and set off to work. The show their techniques and start washing the windows. The giraffe is used as a ladder, the pelican as a bucket with water and the monkey takes a sponge and cleans the windows. They clean and clean and clean. They are very quick at this. All of a sudden, they freeze as they see a burglar inside one of the windows. The pelican quickly takes the burglar and traps him in his beak. The police comes and takes away the burglar.
All of a sudden, a car pulls up and the chauffeur gets out. He greets them, takes out a paper and reads it to them:
Dear Sirs, I saw your notice as I drove by this morning. I have been looking for a decent window-cleaner for the last fifty years This note came from the Duke. He was looking for a cleaning company that would clean the windows of his house for him. The giraffe, the monkey, the pelican and Billy go to his house to do the work. One day, Billy goes to the Grubber to explore it. The Grubber is an old sweet-shop. As Billy turns around the corner, he sees a poster next to the big door. It reads:
The Ladderless Window-Cleaning Company, Get your windows cleaned without of dirty ladders leaning against your house. |
